Starcaller Finally

Although a few  months late, we finally defeated Algalon 10!  Sporadic attemtps and inconsistent raid make up made a hard boss even harder.

Good job everyone!

Icecrown stormed

We have been farming the first wing of ICC for a few weeks now, lets keep it going when the next wing is released.

TOC Cleared

A Nub down
Relatively simple fight with a gear/execution check. TOC probably marks the first time in Wow’s history where content becomes easier as you progress through it.

Raiding Progress Update

It’s been a great week for Mystics. We have cleared 4 out of 5 bosses in TOC, Anubarak should be going down very soon but we could not attempt him on thursday because the instance was bugged. We moved over to Ulduar25 and downed this instead.

Orbituary
Alot of time was spent on coordination and assignment of the various different roles, but we did it within 2 hours.

Grats to everyone on our first Hardmode achievement in 25 mans.

Do You Wanna Date My Avatar?

Yes, you have watched it so many times.

But this is so well done, it has to be posted again!

Yogg is down!

yogg_front_page

After many weeks of learning the fight, improper makeup, lag/DC problems and a close 3% attempt pre-nerf, we downed him. It’s taken longer than it had to, but better late than never!

Thanks to everyone for not giving up!

The Brood Mother Returns – Onyxia Raid in 3.2.2

Just released from Blizzard:

She has lurked in her lair and done battle with the many brave adventurers who travelled to that familiar location over the years. Now, in honor of the World of Warcraft 5-year anniversary, the dreaded brood mother Onyxia is being revamped to make a return to the forefront of Azeroth, as part of our big plans for the upcoming 3.2.2 content patch.

This permanent update to Onyxia will convert the dungeon into 10- and 25-player modes. We will be adding new items to Onyxia’s loot table that have the same model as some of the classic loot from this dungeon, like Tier 2 helms, with stats updated to match the current level of content. There will be a special new item too: a normal drake-sized 310% speed flying mount modeled after Onyxia herself called an Onyxia Broodling. We will also be updating the encounter mechanics to be more fitting for modern raiding, but we can guarantee players will get to experience the frightening horror of deep breaths once again.

Then for a limited time, after the 5-year anniversary event officially begins in November, anybody who logs in will receive an Onyxia Brood Whelpling pet.

Wintergrasp in 3.2

Wintergrasp
To provide players with a more transparent notification of when Wintergrasp battles occur, as well as better control zone population and stability, several changes have been made.

  • Players now have the option to queue for Wintergrasp from a Wintergrasp Battlemaster in any capital city or by simply entering the Wintergrasp zone.
  • Queuing will begin 15 minutes before each battle. If chosen, you will automatically be teleported to the zone. Any players in the zone who have not been chosen from the queue will be teleported out when the battle begins.
  • The queue system remains active for the entire battle. As soon as a player leaves, a new one will be chosen from the queue.
  • Trying to enter Wintergrasp during an active battle for which you have not been chosen will teleport you out. Please note that, as you are now able to fly over Wintergrasp, you will only be teleported out if you try to land and join the battle.
  • Level 80 players get higher priority in the queue than lower level players. In addition, a random selection of queued players will be taken from both the Battlemasters and the zone itself.
  • The queue will accept up to 100 players from each faction, resulting in a maximum battle of 200 players at a time.
  • Wintergrasp factories can no longer be damaged or destroyed.
